Captured Saturday, April 18th, 2011
Photo captured after the monthly Columbus Viewfinders meeting on Monday, April 18th.
4 months down, 8 to go. April was busier than March.
The photo above is a ‘bonus’ shot, since I’d like to put something into every blog post here. It’s an ‘extra’. It won’t count towards 365, as I already featured another photo from April 18th.
According to my Lightroom folders, in April, I captured 2,450 frames, totaling 56.2 gigabytes of disk space.
What did I learn in April?
1) Pocketwizards are pretty dang cool. Especially when working with the new MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 on Nikon! Nikon users finally have what Canon users have had for awhile. CLS on steroids!
2) Use a shutter speed of 1/400 sec or faster when shooting most sports. Especially when using a long lens, regardless of whether you have VR.
3) April weather in Indiana is truly unpredictable. You can go from warm, inviting weather one day to freezing the next! If at all possible, don’t pass up those opportunities to capture a moment on a nice day in April, because it could be the last til May!
Thanks for taking the time from your day to look at my pictures! Hopefully I can get back out to do some more shooting in May.
Got any ideas for good May photo shoot projects? Anyone interested in photo walks?
