70-200 f/2.8 VR-II
ISO 1600

Noise reduced slightly in Lightroom, D700 is still pretty dang good @ ISO 1600!

Would have liked a slower shutter speed to blur the background a bit and imply motion, but the expressions in this one were so good, I had to share.

3 months down, 9 to go. March was gone before I knew it!

The photo above is a ‘bonus’ shot, since I’d like to put something into every blog post here. It’s an ‘extra’. It won’t count towards 365, as I already featured another photo from March 26th.

According to my Lightroom folders, in March, I captured 2,088 frames, totaling 49.5 gigabytes of disk space.

What did I learn in March?

1) Shooting moving cars can be fun and challenging. It takes awhile to get back in the groove of panning, and people at the go kart track will walk right in front of your lens every time the kart is in the right spot!
2) Lightscribe is pretty dang cool
3) It’s easy to *think* you will be able to find time every day to go and shoot.

Thanks for taking the time from your day to look at my pictures! Hopefully I can get back out to do some more shooting in April.

Got any ideas for good April photo shoot projects?

1600 on a D700 looks as good as 400 on a lot of cameras I’ve seen (and unfortuneately used). Nice shot.
