Thank you for taking the time to check out my site!
I am a photography enthusiast in Columbus, Indiana. I’ve lived here all my life. I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than 10 consecutive days outside of Columbus.
Columbus is a great place to live and raise a family.
Columbus has that small-town feel, and on the occasion you would like something bigger, you can be in Chicago, Louisville, Indianapolis or Cincinnati in a half day or less. There are lots of family-friendly attractions nearby as well, State Parks, Nashville, Metamora, plenty of neat places to visit.
I’m pretty open with what I photograph, I’ve yet to find a subject that I didn’t enjoy in one way or another, and I don’t have any real ‘favorite’ subject, other than my kids.
I have a great wife and 3 amazing kids. They do a great job keeping me on my toes – and they consistently provide me with amazing subject matter!
Professionally, I have worked in Information Technology for over 10 years.
So, why photography?
Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. There are so many facets of photography that are interesting and enjoyable.
Growing up, photography was the family business. My Father is a photographer, and I had the opportunity to work with him quite a bit, shooting a lot of dirt track racing photos, as well as kids athletic teams – basketball, football, soccer, baseball, tee ball, etc.
Through High School, I was on the yearbook staff at Columbus North High School, and had the opportunity to photograph a lot of school activities.
I enjoyed working in the darkroom more than anything. There are lots of neat sounds and smells in a darkroom, and it’s serene and peaceful. There’s also quite a bit of science involved. Unfortunately, photography doesn’t really involve a lot of that anymore.
I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures and capturing memories. Conveying feelings, thoughts and emotions – without saying a word!
If you have any photographic needs, I would love to hear from you!
